Satisfying...

Very good short, the only thing I could really critique is the character design, which may need a little tweaking, just to smooth out a few edges but seeing as this was created last year that problem has most probably been addressed,

Illumatie responds:

Thanx.

But I really wonder what kind of edges need tweeking, please contact me if you like. The character is 4 years old now and is still growing, so any kind of real feedback is very welcome.

Hi, still at it I see! :D

Somebodies improved haha!

I remember your original submissions over at TxMafia.com, used to go by the name Bazuka T if it rings a bell. Anywho as always sublime animating with your usual brand of thick lined, vibrantly coloured characters.

Your art style was always something that I was at odds with and while it does appear to be your style I can't help but think that if you experimented with crisper character designs (Maybe Trace over your current animations with better models to see how you feel about them in motion) that you would become a much more popular artist/ animator for it, because face it man, as far as Animators go here, your prime rib! :P

Ohhh and any use of the Halo Theme is fine by me! haha

XtremelyVenomous responds:

BAZUKA. T ....... darn it dude.... u've been lost? shit ..... where have u been bro? this is a surprise. i havent seen u seen tom was a boy. whats up?

ha I'm a better Animator than Kevin! :D

Just because we're old buddies I'll hand you a loving 10 and 5 boss man, but again and despite the graphical overhaul I'm still not convinced.

It was good but I have a few knits to pick, first the Narrator speaks slowly and with that and for an animation to make up for such a thing the cartoon should pick up the pace and throw in the skits thick and fast.... I mean everything just appeared to run rather slowly.

And.......... kinda shitting all over the whole subject here, but I fail to see the impact of Winnie Pooh in this day and age, twenty years ago maybe, but well...... I can draw little from this being from the care bear, turtle, power ranger generation. :D

Impressive non the less though, everything was very colourful and well presented Kevers! well done Ohhh and nice to see TxMs finally got a logo :P

TXMStudios responds:

That's for the critical response. We'll put it all into consideration for our next work.

Daily Flashing be quite the idea...

Huh.... daily flashing hits me as being quite the idea content wise however from the artists featured there was little more than an irrelevant 5 seconds on animation each. In a word twas pointless, fans of daily flashing may garner some satisfaction from the random variety but as far as I'm concerned.....

Maybe weekly flashing would be a more sustainable feet.

TheStarSyndicate responds:

hell na, that would ruin the point of the series. but thanks for not writing an abusive review like everyone else

Hit and Miss, has Moments of class

Just to start with a few negetives, as is telling of my kind hearted nature :) The preloader was lacking and didn't portray the atmosphere of the movie well. In fact after seeing it I couldn't help but sense a lack of personnality and quality but after hovering over the close button for a minute, I thought I'd give it a chance anyway, and.... yeh I'm not gonna have to ask for those few minutes of load time back.

Started slow with poor voice acting by the girl that be, things picked up once Fox arrived and I did openly laugh when he discovered the Staff and the idea that the Princess felt the need to encode a walkthrough for who orwhat ever happens to find it. The rest was good script wise, as for presentation the animation was decent if a bit south parky, but all in all twas good.

RogerregoRRoger responds:

Hmm, good point.
Stupid of me to ignore the importance to reel people in with the preloader.
Well thanks for having the patience to wait till the good part then ^^;

Bazuka T passing by... :)

An absolutely fantastic animation featuring eye popping frame by frame, gun touting action scenes, as fed by a continuous emphasis towards clever choreographing and camera angles.

Tis some mighty good shit here Venom, however just to apply some (As I see it) much needed criticism in order for you to improve as both an artist and an animator: Through your past 3 movies you have demonstrated a major nack for animation and scene choreographing, however your art itself is quite hollow. I feel you need to sit down and put alot more time into your character design because as things stand, your heroes (taken at face value, before even seeing their abilities) are majorly uncool and coloured using an awful colour palette! Simply put Artistically I'd like to see much improvement next time and cut out the dumbing down of the graphics when you animate frame by frame, it gives the flick an unconsistant appearance, which is really something you need to grow out of... I know your capable of it man! :)

Ohh btw I highly dislike Newground's six review categories, many of much are irrelevent to this type of movie, so pay little attention to those scores, overall mark is what matters.

So to conclude this is an awesome flick my friend but you need to sort out the art!

Yours sincerely hyper critical "Massive_Tool"/ "Bazuka T"

XtremelyVenomous responds:
